Melasma can look darker when dull buildup sits over it.

Pigmentation is not only about pigment sitting in the skin. When the surface becomes dull, compacted or uneven, dark patches can look heavier, rougher and more obvious.

The Melasma Peel helps refine that surface layer while using pigment-aligned actives to support the appearance of a brighter, more even-looking complexion.

  • Stubborn-looking pigmentation that appears dark or heavy.
  • Melasma-prone skin that needs controlled resurfacing.
  • Dull surface buildup that makes uneven tone more visible.
  • Rough texture and patchy-looking skin tone.
  • Post-breakout marks and uneven discolouration.
  • Skin that needs renewal without an uncontrolled irritation cycle.

Real pigment results from consistent Windyigarn routines.

These results show what can happen when pigment-prone skin is treated with consistency, controlled renewal and daily SPF. The Melasma Peel supports the resurfacing step, helping lift dull surface buildup that can make pigmentation look darker and heavier.

Pigment-focused surface renewal.

This is not just an exfoliating peel. The formula combines high-performance resurfacing acids with pigment-supporting actives to target the look of stubborn discolouration from more than one angle.

10% Glycolic Acid

A high-performance AHA that helps loosen dull, compacted surface cells and encourage visible surface renewal. By lifting buildup that can make pigmentation appear darker and heavier, glycolic acid helps support a smoother, brighter-looking complexion.

5% Mandelic Acid

A larger-molecule AHA that supports more controlled resurfacing. Mandelic acid helps refine the look of uneven tone, rough texture and dull surface buildup while keeping the treatment focused on gradual pigment refinement.

5% Azelaic Acid

A pigment-supporting active that helps improve the look of uneven tone, post-breakout marks and stubborn discolouration. In this formula, azelaic acid helps make the peel more melasma-aligned by targeting the appearance of pigmentation, not just surface texture.

3% Tranexamic Acid

A brightening active commonly used in pigment-focused routines. Tranexamic acid helps support the appearance of more even-looking skin tone and makes the formula especially suited to stubborn-looking pigmentation and melasma-prone skin.

For skin that needs more than a basic brightening serum.

Ideal if you already have a skincare routine and want to add a targeted weekly treatment for stubborn-looking pigmentation, dullness, rough texture and uneven tone.

Surface buildup Helps lift the dull layer that can make pigmentation look darker and more uneven.
Pigment support Azelaic Acid and Tranexamic Acid help make the treatment more aligned with stubborn-looking discolouration.
Controlled use Designed to be used 1–3 times weekly depending on skin tolerance, not layered randomly with other strong actives.

Start with 15 minutes. Build only if your skin tolerates it.

This is a high-activity resurfacing treatment. More is not always better, especially for melasma-prone skin.

  • Use at night only.
  • Apply a thin, even layer to clean, dry skin.
  • Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  • Start with 1 use per week.
  • If tolerated, increase to 2 times weekly.
  • Experienced acid users with resilient skin may use up to 3 times weekly or leave on overnight if tolerated.
  • Always use SPF 50 daily while using this product.

This is not for over-exfoliating.

  • Do not use on the same night as retinoids, exfoliating acids, peels, needling or other active treatments.
  • Do not use on broken, irritated, sunburned, freshly waxed or recently treated skin.
  • Do not pick or manually peel the skin.
  • Do not use without daily SPF 50.
  • Do not increase frequency if skin feels hot, raw, red, tight or uncomfortable.

Melasma-prone skin needs control, not chaos.

If your skin is sensitive, reactive, dry or barrier-compromised, start slowly and rinse after 15 minutes. If irritation occurs, pause use and focus on barrier support before restarting.

The Melasma Peel FAQ

Is this suitable for melasma-prone skin?

Yes. The Melasma Peel is designed for melasma-prone skin and stubborn-looking pigmentation. It combines controlled resurfacing acids with pigment-supporting actives including azelaic acid and tranexamic acid.

Can I use this by itself?

Yes. It can be used as a standalone resurfacing treatment or added into an existing pigmentation routine. Start slowly and avoid using it on the same night as other strong actives.

How often should I use it?

Start once weekly. If tolerated, increase to twice weekly. Experienced acid users with resilient skin may build to three times weekly.

Do I rinse this off?

Most users should begin by leaving it on for 15 minutes and rinsing thoroughly. Experienced acid users with resilient skin may leave it on overnight if tolerated.

Will it make my skin peel?

Visible flaking may occur. This is a high-activity resurfacing treatment, but excessive burning, swelling or prolonged redness is not expected and means you should stop use.

Can I use it with retinol or other acids?

No. Do not use this on the same night as retinoids, exfoliating acids, peels, needling or other strong active treatments.

Do I need SPF?

Yes. SPF 50 is essential. This product contains alpha hydroxy acids that can increase sun sensitivity, and UV exposure can worsen pigmentation.

Should I use this alone or with the full Melasma Reset System?

If you already have a consistent pigment routine, The Melasma Peel can be used as a weekly resurfacing boost. If melasma is your main concern, or your pigmentation fades and then comes back, the full Melasma Reset System is the better starting point because it gives your skin a complete AM/PM routine rather than one treatment step.

If pigmentation keeps coming back, the peel may only be one part of what your skin needs.

The Melasma Peel helps refine dull surface buildup and support smoother, brighter-looking skin. But recurring melasma usually needs more than one treatment step.

If your pigmentation fades, then returns, the Melasma Reset System gives you the full routine: cleansing, controlled renewal, targeted pigment care and night support.
