Correct contact matters.

The square gold electrode plate is the active treatment surface and should sit flat against the skin while the device is operating.

Gold plate to skin. The controls face outward toward you. Keep the entire treatment surface in contact with the skin.
Maintain full contact Keep the treatment surface flat against the conductive medium and skin.
Keep moving Use slow, controlled movements rather than concentrating warmth in one location.
Comfortable warmth Reduce intensity or stop if treatment becomes painful or excessively hot.

Begin conservatively and increase intensity only when the treatment remains comfortable.

Should I start on High?

How long is a treatment?

How often should I use it?
Begin conservatively and follow the supplied device instructions. Allow your skin to settle fully between treatments. More frequent treatment does not automatically produce better results.
How quickly should I expect results?

Can I use it if I have melasma?
Yes. Melasma is not automatically a reason to avoid RF. How should I cool my skin after RF?
Gently cool the skin until it no longer feels noticeably warm. A cool compress or cooling facial mask can be used. Avoid placing ice directly onto the skin. Cooling can be particularly useful if your pigmentation or melasma tends to react to heat.
Can darker skin tones use RF?
RF does not target melanin in the same way IPL does. Individual heat sensitivity and pigment reactivity still matter, so conservative use remains important.

Can I use retinal, retinol or acids afterwards?
Keep the immediate post-treatment routine gentle. If your skin still feels warm or reactive, wait before applying strong exfoliating or potentially irritating products.
Can I use RF after Botox or filler?
Not immediately. Follow your injector's aftercare advice and obtain clearance before introducing RF over recently treated areas.
Can I use it after microneedling, laser or a peel?
Do not use RF while the skin is healing, inflamed or barrier-compromised. Wait until the skin has fully recovered.
