Before you begin.

Is this RF microneedling?
No. The gold electrode plate remains on the surface of the skin. No needles enter the skin.
Is it the same as IPL?
No. IPL uses flashes of light and targets pigment differently. This device uses radiofrequency energy to create controlled warmth.
Do I need conductive gel?
Yes. Use an appropriate water-based RF conductive gel to provide slip and consistent contact. Facial oil is not a substitute.
What should it feel like?
Comfortably warm—not painfully hot, sharp or burning. Reduce the level or stop if treatment becomes uncomfortable.
Can RF cause facial fat loss or hollowing?
This 1 MHz, 5 W home-use surface RF device is designed for visible firmness and texture, not fat reduction. Unwanted facial fat loss is not an expected outcome when it is used as directed. Keep it moving, avoid chasing maximum heat and use extra care around naturally hollow areas.
Can I use it if I have melasma?
RF creates warmth, and heat can aggravate some pigment-reactive skin. This is a firmness and texture device—not a melasma treatment. If your melasma is heat-sensitive, seek professional advice before use or consider a non-heating, pigment-conscious option such as the Melaglow Pro LED Mask.
When should I avoid treatment?
Do not treat broken, infected, sunburned or significantly irritated skin. Seek medical advice before RF use if you have a pacemaker or implanted electronic medical device, relevant metal implants, a condition for which heat or RF is contraindicated, or recent injectable, surgical, laser or other aesthetic treatment.
Is there downtime?
Significant downtime is not generally expected from correctly used non-needle RF. Temporary warmth or mild redness can occur.
How quickly will I see a result?
RF should be approached as cumulative skincare rather than an instant lift. Results vary according to your skin, technique and consistency.
